April Education

Featuring “Masonic Contemplation, Meditation and Prayer”
by W:. C. Douglas Russell

The rituals of Freemasonry suggest that candidates contemplate specific symbols or teachings, and Masonic writings encourage us to reflect, to meditate, and to pray; but until recently, no instruction on these practices was provided within the Craft. Techniques of contemplation will be presented, including silent sitting, and visualizing light and other Masonic symbols. We will emphasize the inner work of the side-liners, who can support the officers and the candidate by building and maintaining a sacred space throughout the degree ceremony.
